This is actually my second "fix" for the famous css Zen Garden. I have not yet submitted it, as I have some minor "fixes" to implement first.
the need
The css Zen Garden was created by Dave Shea to both inspire and stimulate the imaginations of graphic designers all over the world to explore the totally amazing capabilities of css based design.
the fix
When I tackled this project, it was a labour of love. Having learned XHTML and CSS as the basis for all my design work, this was the perfect "fix" for my creative cravings.
For me, nature is very "zenful" and my css Zen garden needed to reflect that.
I took the waterfall pic while on a nature photography course offered through Artsperience at Canadore College, North Bay, Ontario.
The use of the colour green (which is symbollic of growth, energy, renewal) and the water theme set the mood for the design. I think I will call it "zenrefreshing".
