With a reputation as a community with an exceptional quality of life, located in the beautiful Kawartha Lakes region, Peterborough seems to have everything!

Peterborough provides its inhabitants and visitors with a multitude of recreational and cultural activities. There is always something going on, no matter the season or individual interest. Peterborough has a vibrant arts community and offers a variety of special events.

For over a hundred years an interesting venue has been presented through the Market Hall Performing Arts Centre. This unique hall is located in the historic market hall, home of the Peterborough Town Clock.

There are many other museums, galleries and theatres to appeal to a variety of interests. For instance, located on Little Lake beside Crary Park (home of the Peterborough Summer Festival of Lights), you will find the Peterborough Art Gallery.

For history buffs the community, rich in heritage, offers many different options. Peterborough has long been known for its "Peterborough Canoe" and the city has now showcased this unique collection at The Canadian Canoe Museum. Or, take a scenic drive and visit Lang Pioneer Village Museum.

The community of Peterborough has so much to offer, including many excellent parks and schools. Among these, Peterborough is home to two excellent post–secondary institutions: Trent University and Fleming College. Overall, Peterborough is a wonderful place to live and grow, full of natural beauty and diverse opportunities.
