airbrush grafix

This job began as a simple unicorn on the doors of my good friend, Lorie Houston’s Ford 4x4 truck

the need

Lorie’s initial request for two unicorns (one on each door) seemed like a relatively quick and easy airbrushing project

the fix

my airbrushing

As I got into this paint job, however, the thing just seemed to take on a life of it’s own and it just grew and grew …

When all was said and done Lorie had a mural from wheel well to wheel well ( and don’t forget – reflected on the opposite side also!), from top to bottom.

The pics above and below show the driver side and passenger side, respectively, with basecoat and airbrush work (prior to being clear coated).

Unicorn Airbrushed on Ford Truck

my reflection

There were three waterfalls (per side), the unicorn(s), lots of trees and rocks and a very cool cloudy sky, with touches of pink and purple highlighting the combination of Dodge Viper Blue basecoat and white.

The only other colours used in the airbrush work were black and the gold colour on the unicorn’s hooves and horn.
